Wastewater Pump Station Lid Replacement
Chinnery Construction was engaged to undertake upgrade works at both the Woodend Beach Road and Reserve Road Sewer Pump Stations, focusing on the removal and replacement of existing wet well and valve chamber access infrastructure. The project involved the safe demolition and removal of existing concrete wet well cover slabs, including the careful disconnection and management of ancillary equipment and power supplies where required to ensure safe working conditions within operational pump station environments.
Following removal, Chinnery Construction designed, constructed, and installed new reinforced concrete cover slabs tailored to suit Principal-supplied access lids. All elements were engineered and built to meet relevant standards, ensuring durability, structural integrity, and long-term serviceability in a critical wastewater environment.
At the Reserve Road Sewer Pump Station, the scope also included the removal of existing valve chamber access lids and replacement with new Principal-supplied units. These were installed with precision to ensure correct alignment, secure fitment, and full operational functionality.
The works were delivered with a strong focus on safety, coordination within live operational sites, and minimising disruption to essential wastewater services. The completed upgrades provide improved access, compliance, and long-term reliability for ongoing asset management.
